- Sixteen-year-old Shelly Parker works for the tyrannical Pastor Dobbins and his family in Black Mountain, Georgia. She has the uncanny ability to see and hear the spirits of the dead. One day, the ghost of Arleen Brown, a woman who died in childbirth five years ago, appears and threatens to reveal a terrible secret about the Pastor's daughter, Faith.
