Summary
As many may already know, Sonia Rykiel is the woman who played a key role in introducing Robert Altman to the world of fashion. Ten years have passed since Altman attended the Sonia Rykiel show that gave him the idea for his film Pret-a-Porter, however Sonia's clothes still continue to steal the scene. Sonia's career began when she struggled to find stylish clothing during her pregnancy and began designing for herself. Without any formal training, this accidental designer has built a multimillion dollar empire. Sonia opened her first boutique on the Rue de Grenelle in Paris in 1968, and the company has expanded ever since. As Sonia has always cherished the support she's received from her family, Sonia's daughter, Nathalie, is now the artistic director of the privately held fashion house
