Summary
The story of Santa and Pete is a tale passed down through the generations, where the Old World's Saint Nicholas is transformed into modern day Santa Claus. Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of children. He travels the world alone, performing small miracles and keeping track of the children in the sacred book of life. He is arrested, accused of being a spy, and is sent to a Spanish prison. He meets an energetic young man, Pete, who comes to his rescue. When the two cross the Atlantic to the new world in winter, they trade their horse carriage for a reindeer pulled sleigh, and Santa accepts a new thick red coat, made for him by Native Americans
