Summary

Violet has had it with her boss Blake Kemp and she quits her job and goes to work for Blake's rival. Even though she certainly enjoys her new job, she still pines for Blake as she has loved him for a very long time. And of course he's fighting himself and his feelings big time. I've always enjoyed Ms Palmer's stories, but this one is quite disappointing as it sometimes confused me and I had no idea what direction the characters were going in. There for a while I thought Blake's rival was the hero. Read the other Long, Tall Texans (especially the first ones) as they are much better. -- Virginia A.
