Summary
During two days in May 2007, Colonial Williamsburg hosted the visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, to Virginia's Historic Triangle. The royal couple observed the 400th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown. The itinerary included arrival at the Colonial Capitol and a carriage ride along the Duke of Goucester Street; overnight lodging at the Williamsburg Inn; tours of Jamestown Settlement and its interpretation of 17th century Virginia life, and Historic Jamestowne and its archaeological discoveries; a reception and luncheon at the Governor's Palace; and a visit to the College of William and Mary.
