"Doo Wop was a true urban phenomenon throughout the 1950's and early 60's. Teenagers gathered on neighborhood street corners or deep in the echo-laden bowels of subway stations to hone their harmonic blends. They nearly always sang love songs, and quite a few of those innocent romantic odes eventually developed into national hits. This two-disc collection celebrates the best of doo wop love songs with new performances by such classic groups as THE CAPRIS ("There's a Moon Out Tonight"), CHARLIE THOMAS' DRIFTERS with BEN E.
